Sakhalin residents can now sign up for a waiting list to purchase air tickets.
Residents of Sakhalin Island now have the ability to call the hotline and sign up for a waiting list to purchase tickets if they could not find available flights on the desired date or destination.
Information about this is posted on the website of the Governor and the Government of the Sakhalin Region.
To use this service, the passenger should call *0065, select the “Air ticket waiting list” option; and tell the operator the desired route and date of the flight. When a seat becomes available on the flight, the operator will contact the passenger and offer to book a ticket.
The Ministry of Transport will analyze incoming applications and, if necessary, will consider adding additional flights. In addition, airlines will put reserved tickets on sale.
In the near future, the hotline on Sakhalin will also begin accepting applications for the purchase of tickets for trains, intercity buses and sea transport.
