Started visa-free exchange of tourist groups between Russia and China
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation informed about the conditions of the organization group visa-free travel to China, noting that for such trips, Russian tourists need to contact travel agencies.
The agency’s message says: “To arrange a group tour, you must contact the agency that organizes such trips. For individual travelers, the procedure for issuing visas remains unchanged.
As previously announced, the list of Russian tour operators that can organize visa-free exchange is published on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development. This list includes 364 companies.
The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development reminded that a group trip is considered if at least 5 people participate in it.
Earlier, the department reported that from August 1 visa-free exchanges of tourist groups between Russia and China are resumed within the framework of an intergovernmental agreement. Groups of 5 to 50 people organized by tour operators can travel without a visa to a neighboring country for up to 15 days. However, the Russian Union of Travel Industry stated that it would take time for tour operators to organize the process, and the full volume of visa-free exchanges is expected no earlier than September.
