Did you know that the first screening of films in Tashkent took place in 1897, and the M. Gorky Film Studio was evacuated to Ashgabat during the Patriotic War. Vyacheslav Shmyrov, a member of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts, spoke about this, about the history of cinematography in Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, at a lecture at the Jewish Museum on March 19.
And on March 26, Doctor of Historical Sciences Tatyana Emelianenko will talk about life in countries East, about everyday life in Central Asia from birth to death, about historical roots, sacred meanings, religious rituals.
And on April 2, the lecture “Attraction of the East: Great Bukharia through the eyes of Russian artists” will tell
