Traffic has been launched on a new section of the M12 highway< /i>
Today, September 8, we launched automobile traffic on the section of the M12 highway that connects Moscow and Arzamas .
Several sections with a total length of more than 300 km on the M12 Vostok highway, which is under construction, were put into operation. This project will connect Moscow and Arzamas with a modern highway. Taking into account the already opened sections of the M12 highway in 2022, travel time from Moscow to Arzamas should be reduced from 7 to 3.5 hours.
It is planned that the opening of the Arzamas section – Kazan will take place at the end of 2023, and after that the travel time from Moscow to Kazan will be 6.5 hours (currently about 12 hours).
As the deputy head of Avtodor noted, Konstantin Makiev, all gas stations on the M12 highway will be equipped with chargers for electric vehicles until 2024, which will make it possible to plan trips along this road with electric cars.
