Tourists in Hong Kong will be able to visit bars and restaurants for free
Hong Kong will introduce a new program in which tourists will be given free $13 vouchers for visiting bars and restaurants.
The amount of HK$100 million has been allocated by the Hong Kong authorities for a program called “Hong Kong Night Treats”. As part of this program, it is planned to distribute 1 million certificates among tourists. The certificates can be used after 18:00 in 500 bars and restaurants.
The goal of this program is to revive night-time tourism and return to pre-pandemic tourist flows, perhaps even exceeding them.
Giveaway certificates will be held at Hong Kong Airport, as well as at the Tourism Board centers in Tsim Sha Tsui and West Kowloon.
