A pensioner has created a museum in the village, where tourists from all over the world come
Retired Mukharam Khaibulin from the village of Lepsinsk, Alakol district, Zhetysu region of Kazakhstan, studied the history of his native land for many years. Without waiting for the creation of a local history museum from the authorities, he created it in his own house.
The exposition includes about 1,500 exhibits: household items, weapons, documents, and other ancient items. The Lepsinsky Historical Museum officially opened in 2021. Since then, more than 2,000 guests have visited it, incl. from abroad: Germany, USA, Russia, other CIS countries.
According to Ratel.kz, the museum tells about the life of local residents since ancient times, but mainly in the 19th-20th centuries. Mukharam Khaibulin spoke in detail about the life of the traditional Kazakh society, collecting original folk costumes and items related to horse breeding in the museum.
