Anyone can take part in the festival, which takes place in the Dream Island landscape park.
The opening of the festival “Day of India” took place in Moscow
From 10 to 13 August in Moscow in the Dream Island park; the eighth annual India Day festival is underway.
This year, the festival features 20 zones. More than 70 yoga schools, 200 Russian and Indian dancers, as well as 120 shops and restaurants with authentic Indian cuisine took part in the festival.
Music and dance performances are expected on the main stage. At the Indian Fair, visitors will be able to purchase various goods, and taste Indian dishes in the restaurant area. Also, master classes on cooking these dishes are planned.
An important event of the festival will be the Chariot Festival, as well as weddings. Last year, more than 200 couples registered for the wedding ceremony.
This year, new entertainment zones are also introduced, such as the Leela zone with games based on ancient Vedic knowledge, and the Chill zone Yogamodern, where you can relax, listen to mantras, read books and take part in interesting master classes.
The Holi color zone will work for three days: from August 11 to 13 from 18:00 to 20:30, from 18:00 to 20: 00 and from 16:00 to 18:00 respectively. The organizers urge you to plunge into the ocean of colors and forget about all your worries.
Every evening, guests will be expected at an Indian disco and a Bollywood movie screening. Admission to the festival is free, but tickets are required to attend outdoor screenings.
