Moscow region has become a leader in school tourism Tourism
In 2022, the state service “Trips of schoolchildren with social certificates” was launched in electronic format in the Moscow Region. As the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism reported, the Moscow region became the leader in terms of the number of students who took part in the project.
Irina Kaklyugina, Vice Governor of the Moscow Region, said: “The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow Region, together with the Ministry of Education of the region, is implementing an important project to develop school educational tourism. More than 22 thousand schoolchildren of the Moscow region made tourist trips under the program “social order in the field of tourism” last year. During 2023, the number of children participating in the project will almost double and exceed 40,000. More than 280 million rubles from the federal and regional budgets this year will be directed to support the organization of travel for young residents of the region.
As part of the program, schoolchildren are invited to visit various interesting places in the region, in 2022 the top were: the Kolomna Kremlin, the estate “Abramtsevo”, the Zvenigorod State Museum-Reserve, the museum exhibition complex “New Jerusalem”, the Resurrection New Jerusalem Monastery and the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra.
It is noted that within the framework of more than 100 objects on the territory of the Moscow region are available for school students in educational tourism.
