The electronic visa is intended for a single entry into the Russian Federation
The Russian Foreign Ministry has postponed the launch of the electronic visa system
The launch of the system for issuing unified electronic visas in Russia was scheduled for June 14, but so far its dates have not been determined, said the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Foreigners will be able to issue it only after the removal of all coronavirus restrictions, the deadline for the abolition of which is still unclear, Zakharova explained. At the same time, ordinary paper visas will be issued to citizens of all foreign states, provided they cross the border of the Russian Federation through air and sea checkpoints.
A single electronic visa is intended for a single entry into the Russian Federation on a guest or business visit, as well as in as a tourist for up to 16 days. A foreign citizen will not have to present any documents confirming the purpose of the trip. The visa will be processed in 4 days and will cost $40.
