Volcano Etna erupts in Sicily, the island is covered with wet black ash.
The eruption of Mount Etna disrupted the tourist infrastructure of Italy
The eruption caused volcanic ash to settle on the runways. Airport representatives explained that under such conditions, takeoff and landing of aircraft is not safe.
Currently, observation of the volcano is difficult due to cloudiness at its top, but experts suggest that the eruption itself came from the southeast crater.
Etna volcano reaches 3324 meters. It is considered the most active volcano in Europe. Etna is located in Sicily — one of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy.
