The Swiss railway authorities have created the longest passenger train in history.

The train consisted of 100 passenger cars of the same type of a modern European class. It was pulled by four locomotives.

The 1.9 km long train traveled about 25 km along the historic railway in the canton of Graubünden. Several times it crossed itself on overpasses and in tunnels.

Only 150 passengers passed on the train. But hundreds more people came out to admire the historical composition, standing along the route.
