UAE neighbors decide to beat their Arab brothers
Surpassing Dubai. The Saudis want to build a skyscraper twice the height of the Burj Khalifa the tallest building in the world in the capital of the country, Riyadh.
Now this title rightfully bears the Burj Khalifa skyscraper; in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Its height is 828 meters.
The neighbors of the UAE decided to outdo their Arab brothers. A 2,000-meter-high tower will be built in the capital of Saudi Arabia. The total area of its interior will be 18 square meters. km.
The preliminary cost of the project is $5 billion. That's a lot of money, but oil-rich Saudi Arabia can afford it.
There's already a gigantic Mirror Line building-city in the middle of the desert underway there. These will be two houses 490 meters high, each 120 km (!) long. The two buildings will be connected by pedestrian crossings.
