Russians no longer will not be able to use roaming in Canada

According to the information provided by RBC, Canadian mobile communication providers stop roaming cooperation with four largest Russian operators. Canada has imposed sanctions against MTS, MegaFon, Tele2 and Beeline. The customers of these operators will no longer have access to roaming services in Canada.

It is noted that the users of the Big Four can receive communications in Canada via Wi-Fi or by purchasing SIM cards from local operators, but without roaming, they will not be able to receive SMS to Russian numbers, for example, to authorize or confirm bank transactions.

However, cooperation with other Russian operators is still ongoing. For example, with the Ural operator Motiv, which is the largest regional operator in Russia after the Big Four.
