It is planned to launch cruise tours between Kamchatka and Sakhalin.
Route Kamchatka – Sakhalin: search for new ways of developing tourism between Sakhalin and Kamchatka. This was stated by Governor Vladimir Solodov in an interview with RBC.
Previously, foreign cruise ships entered the peninsula, but with the introduction of international sanctions, this practice was stopped. Solodov notes that for the development of the region, it is necessary to create cruise routes between Sakhalin, Kamchatka and the islands.
Nevertheless, the authorities of the Kamchatka Territory are still striving to develop foreign tourism. They believe that it is necessary to look for new markets, such as Asian and Arab countries, where there is demand and interest in this type of travel, and replace with them the fallen foreign tourist flows.
It is noted that every year the number of Russian tourists visiting Kamchatka increases by 10-12%.
