Prices for trips to Turkey have doubled.
Resorts in Turkey have risen in price significantly
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported that prices for tours to Turkey have doubled compared to pre-pandemic 2019.
The average check for holidays in Turkey in the summer of 2023 increased by 73-91 percent compared to the same period in 2019. Previously, before the COVID-19 pandemic, Russian tourists could relax in Turkish resorts for 50-60 thousand rubles per person.
Today, the average cost of a tour to Turkey for Coral Travel is 96.6 thousand rubles, for Fun& Sun – 104.3 thousand rubles, for Anex Tour – 106.5 thousand rubles and for Pegas Touristik – 117.8 thousand rubles.
Experts attribute the rise in prices to the increase in the cost of air tickets and accommodation. In addition, the tourist flow from Russia to Turkey has decreased by more than a third. However, there are more people who can afford to stay in expensive hotels and spend extra on services.
