Earthquake felt even in Bulgaria
Powerful earthquake in Turkey. Are tourists affected?
A magnitude 4 earthquake hit northwestern Turkey on Wednesday night ,5 points.
The epicenter of the disaster was located 12 km from the city of Duzce. It is equidistant from Istanbul and Ankara by about 200 km.
In the city itself, more than 40 people were injured, the facades of some buildings collapsed, and electricity was temporarily cut off. Rescuers actively help local residents. Fortunately, there are no casualties.
There are no popular resorts in the vicinity of Düzce, where foreign tourists rest. But aftershocks and aftershocks were felt in Ankara, Istanbul, as well as in popular Mediterranean resorts. The tourists escaped with only a slight fright, there was no damage.
According to the Bulgarian media, the tremors were also felt in the Bulgarian resorts of Burgas, Varna and Balchik. There is also no damage or casualties.
