The authorities may close the attraction where the Russian tourist died.
Phuket authorities will close one of the attractions after the death of a Russian
It is reported that the death of a Russian tourist at Promthep Cape was not the first. In this regard, the Rawai County Municipality is considering tightening measures to prevent people from descending onto the rocks of the cape.
There are signs warning of the danger of descending on the cape, but there are no fences that could prevent tourists from entering the danger zone. The authorities said the barriers were not put up because they could spoil the views from the safe points of the cape's observation deck. The cape is a favorite place for tourists. People often went here to take beautiful photos.
Recall that on Friday, a 32-year-old Russian was washed away by a strong wave off Promthep Cape, as a result, the body of the deceased was found in the sea off the coast of the island. Ten years ago, a Chinese tourist died here, who slipped and fell into coastal waters.
