Travel experts have named the best destinations for tourist trips in Russia in 2023, according to Tutu.
The service, as part of its Media Intelligence project; interviewed 100 leading Russian travel journalists, bloggers and photographers. Each of them could offer three options.
In the first place, the survey participants put the Murmansk region (28 percent). Here you can try a variety of seafood, go skiing and snowboarding in the city of Kirovsk, get acquainted with the Sami culture. Respondents also noted the opportunity to see humpback whales in the Barents Sea, praised a visit to the husky park in Lovozero and an overnight stay at an isolated camp site near Umba in the forest tundra.
Second place in the list of interesting travel destinations in 2023, according to travel journalists and bloggers, took Altai. It was mentioned by 27 percent of the respondents. There are a large number of hiking and water routes, a variety of recreation centers and boarding houses.
The Kaliningrad region and its center, the city of Kaliningrad, closes the top three (22 percent). The region is famous for its preserved Prussian architecture, the Baltic Sea, the unique Curonian Spit and unusual local cuisine. The direction, according to experts, is suitable for both lovers of excursions and beach holidays.
Also in the top ten are Kamchatka, St. Petersburg, Dagestan, Baikal, Karelia and Sochi.
