“In the South Urals, Chelyabinsk met people who sincerely wish to develop Russian domestic tourism. Really difficult tests awaited you and you coped with them brilliantly. The semi-final turned out, in my opinion, very sincere and hospitable, including due to one of the innovations of the contest – an open educational platform, which was visited by residents of the Chelyabinsk region and neighboring regions. I am sure that thanks to this format, you were able to exchange experience with representatives of the regional tourism community and expand your network of useful contacts. I sincerely want to thank the Chelyabinsk region, its governor Alexei Leonidovich Teksler and the people of the region for such a warm welcome and, of course, their contribution to the development of domestic tourism, – noted the CEO of the presidential platform «Russia– countries of opportunity” Alexey Komissarov.

Egor Kovalchuk, Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, addressed the participants at the closing ceremony of the semi-finals.
“It is important and honorable for us to host the Masters of Hospitality, and we are grateful to the organizers – presidential platform «Russia– land of opportunity – for choosing Chelyabinsk as the starting point for the new season. By holding this competition, we close several tasks at once. Firstly, we improve our skills in organizing large business events, we ourselves become masters of hospitality. Secondly, we represent the tourism potential of the Chelyabinsk region. During the three competitive days, our guests conducted an audit of the hotel and restaurant, analyzed the support measures provided to the tourism industry in the region, and offered their options for the second branded route. I am sure that now they have a complete picture of the tourism opportunities of the Chelyabinsk region, and this fresh look from the outside is important for us. And finally, we get new ideas, new projects, which we can then use in our work. The important point is that our participation in the third season of “Masters of Hospitality” does not end. Participants of the semi-final on the track “Development of territories” will develop a gastronomic case for the Chelyabinsk region – perhaps it will be a themed souvenir or a set of Ural dishes».
