In Bali, Russians may have difficulties, should they start to worry

It seems that one of the favorite places for rich Russians, domestic stars and celebrities is tired of our flavor. All media disseminated the proposal of the governor of the Indonesian island of Bali to stop issuing tourist visas for guests from Russia and Ukraine upon arrival.

At his press conference, Gov. Wayan Koster said there were “a huge number of complaints about bad behavior and possible criminal acts” committed by Russian and Ukrainian tourists, as well as that they are trying to come to the island on tourist visas to get a job.

By the way, it is known that not so long ago a surveillance program for foreigners was adopted at this resort, and the immigration police have already begun arrests and deportations from the country, so last Friday five Russians were deported, three women were accused of prostitution, and two men – in illegal business, among them the foreign agent Mikhail Shats.

Also, the authorities of Bali, in connection with the numerous high-profile accidents that occurred through the fault of tourists, will prohibit foreigners from renting bikes, and violators will cancel their visas.

Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy estimated that over 52,000 Russian tourists visited the country in the first eleven months of 2022.
