Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto said that following the results of the government meeting, Finland will limit the number of accepted applications to 10% of the current level. Finland currently receives about a thousand visa applications from Russia per day. Accordingly, according to the new rules, it will be only one hundred applications per day. The restriction comes into force at the beginning of September, ATOR reports. Earlier, Estonia decided to close the borders for Russians with Schengen visas issued earlier. The entry ban will only apply to visas issued by Estonia. At the same time, the restrictions will not affect Russians whose homeland is Estonia, holders of permanent residence, those who travel to Estonian relatives, diplomats, people employed in the field of international transportation.
