“Aviasales” analyzed the booking of air tickets of Russians with a departure in February. For the first time since September, three foreign cities were among the ten most popular destinations of the month: Istanbul, Yerevan and Dubai. In February every eighth Russian traveler will fly to Sochi. This direction accounts for 12% of all bookings, and the average check for round-trip air tickets amounted to 10,400 rubles. Moscow is almost as popular as Sochi — 11%, that is, every tenth air ticket through Aviasales was bought in the Russian capital for an average of 6,800 round trip. St. Petersburg took the third place with 10% of all bookings in February and an average check of 6,500 rubles. Mineralnye vody became one of the most popular destinations in February with a 5% booking share and an average check of 10,500 rubles. Almost as popular is Istanbul — 4% of travelers fly there for an average of 24,800 round trips. Next comes Kaliningrad with a smaller share of bookings — 3% and the average round-trip check is 7,500 rubles. The same number of Russian travelers will fly to Yerevan, which is becoming more of a tourist destination. The average check for air tickets to the Armenian capital in February — 20 500 rubles. Dubai became the third foreign destination in the top — 2% of all air tickets for the next month were booked there for an average of 52,000 round trips.
