To date, over 3,800 people have been reported dead and 20,400 injured in the earthquakes in Turkey. The magnitude 7.8 quake has been the strongest since 1939. At the same time, the risk of continuing earthquakes remains. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared a week of national mourning until February 12 in connection with the disaster.

A hotline has been opened for Russian tourists in Turkey in connection with the earthquake. However, at the same time, representatives of the Russian tourism industry say that so far there are no reports of massive cancellations of tours to Turkey among our travelers. The earthquakes that started at night did not affect the resort towns popular with domestic tourists. Also, there have been no reports of injured Russians yet.
