Russian applicants are no longer required to submit biometrics when applying for a Chinese visa, this decision was made by the Chinese Consulate in the Russian Federation and published on its official website.

“According to the work plan, from August 9, 2023 to December 31, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation exempts applicants for single or double entry visas for business (M), tourist (L), family (Q2), transit (G) purposes and visas for crew members (C)”, — The Chinese Consulate said in a statement.

Recall that from August 1 the exchange of tourist groups between Russia and China was resumed as part of an agreement on a visa-free regime. However, experts believe that a number of regulatory issues need to be resolved before the actual exchange of tourist groups can begin.
