As ​​part of the celebration of the Chinese New Year by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, the National Tourism Office of China in Moscow held a children's drawing contest &laquo ;Beautiful China». 
 
More than 300 young artists took part in the competition  literally from all over Russia: from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.  The professional jury evaluated the drawings within two age groups: junior — from 7 to 10 years and older — from 11 to 14 years old, eventually choosing the top 20. The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners took place on January 17 in the building of the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow. In the welcome speech,  the head of the National Tourist Office of China in Moscow, Ms. Wang Rui expressed her confidence that  by participating in this competition, Russian children could become much closer to Chinese culture. 

– The competition fulfilled an important goal — the formation of interest in the cultural and historical heritage of China, & nbsp; – she said, –  Children and teenagers showed their vision of Beautiful China, expanded their knowledge of ancient Chinese culture, tourist attractions and amazing nature. The friendship between our peoples has a long history  history, And I believe that the younger generation will continue to work hard to open up new prospects for Chinese – Russian friendship.

After the awards ceremony, the young artists went to the exhibition hall of the center, where a master class was held for them  in Chinese painting under the guidance of  Anna Donchenko, Research Associate of ICSA RAS.  An exposition of 20 works of the finalists was also exhibited there.
