Antalya will lose 2.5 million tourists from Russia
Specialists Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) year, the Turkish resort Antalya may lose 2.5 million Russian tourists (45%) compared to the same indicator in 2019.
The ATOR website specifies that one of the main reasons for the drop in demand is a significant reduction in air travel amid Western sanctions imposed against Russia.
From January to May 2022, 367.8 thousand Russians arrived in Antalya, which is 70.6% less than before the pandemic. If all the remaining months of the high tourist season fly 500 flights a week, then about 2.5 million tourists will be able to get to the resort city.
