The company asks the state to introduce protectionism measures
Aeroflot wants to ban foreign airlines from transporting Russians
The German magazine Focus writes that the Russian airline Aeroflot is not coping with the consequences of international sanctions and is asking for support from the state .
Due to the conflict in Ukraine, Aeroflot lost almost all international transit. The airspace for its flights was closed not only by the USA and Europe, but also by countries such as Laos and Jordan.
Because of this, it is increasingly difficult for the airline to fly from the Russian Federation abroad, for example, to Egypt and Thailand. International tourism previously accounted for 26% of Aeroflot's revenue. Now these revenues are practically non-existent.
In addition, the company is no longer available for new aircraft and spare parts for Airbus and Boeing liners.
Therefore, the company's management calls on the Russian authorities to protect its interests. Aeroflot asks the state to introduce protectionism measures and ban other airlines from transporting Russians abroad.
