Abu Dhabi to Reduce Hotel Prices
Abu Dhabi (UAE) promises to reduce hotel prices for tourists. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi has announced the abolition and reduction of almost all government fees that were levied on hotels.
Thus, the 6% tourist tax and the 4% municipal fee for restaurants will be eliminated hotels. The only fee that will remain is a municipality fee of 4% of the invoice issued to the customer.
In addition, tourists will no longer have to pay a municipality fee of 15 dirhams per day (410 rubles), which was previously included in the price of the room.
The authorities of Abu Dhabi hope that the change in government fees in hotels and restaurants will have a positive impact on the development of the tourism sector.
